Our role in Sovereign Programs
Sovereign Fund Recovery
We trace and recover Sovereign funds. Ever since the end of WWII, funds have been lost through embezzlement and misappropriation from Sovereign states. We are specialists in tracing these funds and then recovering them through negotiated settlements with intermediaries, asset managers and holding banks.
Portfolio Management
We manage and administer portfolios for Sovereign funds. Most often, this is through investing in property, globally, with a focus on Central and South America. We hold portfolios for Sovereign states with interests in Commercial, Residential, Industrial and Leisure property.
Sovereign Wealth Funds
We work with Sovereign states, and their Sovereign Wealth Funds, to establish and maintain private Sovereign Wealth Funds. We invest in diverse asset classes for our Sovereign clients and either integrate these investments into established Sovereign Wealth funds, or, we establish new Sovereign Wealth Funds or we privately manage them until they develop their own solutions.

Avantulo S.A.'s founders are former bankers from Canada with an interest in investigating fraud and embezzlement. The directors have all worked within a framework of Sovereign wealth, and as such, have brought their Sovereign states into the client base of Avantulo S.A..
Avantulo S.A.'s board integrate seamlessly into the framework of a Sovereign state's ministry of finance, or into their existing Sovereign Wealth Fund. As such, we co-operate at an executive level to ensure the wealth of a nation is protected by retaining the close relationships our board have fostered with our client states over many decades.
Overview
In 2023, Avantulo S.A. traced and recovered over $2 trillion USD in cash and assets for our clients. We have returned the vast majority of these funds to our partner Sovereign states while also retaining part of the funds for investment.

Banking Resources
Avantulo maintains relationships with a panel of partner banks which are some of the largest banks in the world.
When recovering funds for our partner Sovereign states, careful negotiation is of paramount importance to all of the parties, and it is crucial for the banks to ensure their ledger balances are not affected or reduced by our action. Therefore, Avantulo S.A. maintains accounts and relationships with the major European banks, as well as some other global giants, to ensure seamless balance transfers without affecting the liquidity of the banking partners.
